Anti:Dote High Tea Review

Hi there lovely readers, it's me again!!!

Today I'll be doing a review on Anti:Dote (Fairmont Hotel)'s High Tea menu that I went for on Valentines, hope you guys enjoy this short post hehe.  

Entrance of the restaurant 

Interior, love warm and cosy lighting and seating. Was seated on a cosy sofa hehe. 

Didn't take a picture of the tea but I opted for their Pink Flamingo one which tasted slightly fruity with a hint of floral taste??? It was good, and one jug per person was MORE than enough. 

They had us choose between the Antidote tea set or Oriental tea set. The only difference between the two was the the latter came with dim sum like siew mai and bars while the antidote tea set come with truffle scrambled eggs. So of course we chose the former as it sounded more unique rather than having dim sum. 

Truffle Scrambled Eggs!!! I love everything truffle, smells so delish. They gave us fried bread thingys to accompany the scrambled eggs and also give it a different texture (Crispy) but i thought the bread was tad too oily. The truffle scrambled egg tasted like mousse at the top and I was all like "where dem eggs at" and oh it was hidden at the bottom. Would rate this dish 3.5/5, not like dabombz amazing but interesting. 

Here's the entire high tea set! Desserts, savouries, scones & condiments!

Top tier: Desserts. I really love the strawberry swiss roll omg, it tasted as good as it looks, so moist & nice!!!! And the cherry jelly too, tasted so much like a cherry but in a gelatin form. The rest of the pastries were good too, just that it wasn't exceptionally good. 

Savouries!!! I actually prefer savoury > sweet! LOVE the quiche??? Everything was yummy! 

Scones. Not exactly a fan of scones as they're too dry, only ate one of them (the ginger one) and the skin tasted bit like mooncake skin HAHA I'm not sure. 

Condiments! Love the lemon curd and homemade jam, not too sure about the cream cheese tho, quit tasteless and...meh. 

Oh, and they gave us butter cookies too!

Surreal.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS GUYS!!!! 

hahahahaha hi y'all. 

I'm FINALLY done with Os and it feels way, way too surreal. Like days ago I was burning the midnight oil and now I'm wasting my life away watching kdramas and hkdramas. Oh, and yoga, which is probably good since I don't exercise haha. I actually kinda miss studying, like just a lil bit hahahaha oops (never thought i'd say this) 

With this lil cutie pie. 

Ramen at JP hehe. Pretty oily and pricey but still yumzzzah. Love em' melty eggs. 

Home cooked lunch. All my fave food - Cod fish, stir-fried mushrooms in oyster sauce, salted egg - I'm a huge fan of salted egg!!!! Like salted egg on anything savoury is gud.

Had a short hi-tea break w/ Karin over at SB. Cheesecake was on the house bc birthday month hehe yay. Though I'm srsly not a fan of cheesecake. 

I think like Fish & Co.'s student meal is really reallyyyyyy worth it, like this super huge portion  of fish with fries and drink was like $10.90nett. (??) I couldn't even finish everything omg. 

First hot yoga sesh w/ mummy love. Hot yoga is yoga practised in a 38 degrees room, which made us sweat like no other but felt refreshing afterwards bc like all the toxins seem to come off as sweat (does this make sense hahahahhahahaha) 

Doing what I do best, lol. 

Ramen- shopping date with Kitty the other day!! This green tea coke's really interesting. 

The broth was so so so so so so so good and the melty eggs was heavenly, not to mention the piece of char siew was tender and nice. This bowl of ramen was really satisfying, and helped ourselves to the free flow hard-boiled eggs.

-SHORT STORY-
That two girls posing in this pic  was actually Pei Shi and Jayley if i'm not wrong omggg. Like on that night itself i was reading Peishi's Dayre and realised they were there the time my bus went past yo:ha. and like the day before I saw Hayley (she looked so pretty on THREE WISHES)  at the interchange *a little starstruck moment* 

BUFFET TOWN. Made a pact (in 2011) with Siying & Yinuan that we'd visit a buffet place every year but we haven't done so the past 2 years so FINALLY HEHE. i love them both so much n_n

Did our nails at thenailstatus for 3 bucks bc students and it wasn't really good i guess. I mean it lasted for 2 days before it started chipping off :( 

 Added a little streaks/highlights to my hair and I was all like "maybe I should add rainbow colours so i look like MLP RAINBOW DASH hahaha" ok but i was calm and only added purple ones. 

Finally got my nxmini todayyyyyy!!! Here's to more good quality photos and tons of selfies :P

weekend joys

Ok, so this post isn't entirely about weekends but i'm just that bad at giving my posts a title so forgive me pls hahaha.

Got this from samplestore the other day and it's sooooooo good. I especially love the lavendar one bc it's my fave scent hehe. Even my room diffuser is in lavedar scent so my room smells like lavendar. Anyways, so I actually fell asleep with this mask on hahaha. It was just so warm and nice and makes you wanna cuddle in bed and fall asleep. 

Grandma treated me my fave thunder tea rice at the market. So healthy and yummy - brown rice somemoe HAHAHA. 

The last minute "grab-and-go" costume for RHD. It's really pretty tho. Oh and the picture with the pretty indian princess emily, zhor zhor and nuan nuan hehe. PS. the mt cher allowed us to take pictures so like why not right :P 

Because grandma wasn't home one evening so me and my helper decided to make pasta for ourselves hehe. Many shrooms, ba chor and prawns with some cheddar cheese on top. 

Made these chocolate cupcakes from Betty Crockers premix yesterday. The kids had fun helping my crack them eggs and stiring the batter hahaha. Made about 10 batches in total so that's about 70 cupcakes omg. It turned out well in the end because you know what? Premixes can alsmost never go wrong *winks*

After gym and swimming earlier this morning. Candid shot haha i forgot to bring a comb that's why. 

Waited 3 hours for this omg. I checked wrong and thought the buffet starts at 12 but it actually starts at 3. So we went to walk around in JEM, westgate and then settled down in the library for some chit-chat session. That 3 hours was worth the wait in the end. This is the sakae buffet in Jcube, there were't many people there today, in fact, at some point we were the only table occupied omg. But the food was like great and the price were really affordable ($20+, free flow) so I couldn't understand why ahhaha.

Ate so many ebiko gunkan, I LOVE EBIKO SUSHI LIKE ASDFGHJKLIDK like I think I ordered this 4 times oops. 

The total plates turned out to be more value then what we paid for hehe yay. Skipped dinner because this was wayyyy too filling. Ended up 2.5hours in the restaurent chatting and feasting like gluttons :P it was funnnnnnnnnn.

THE BEST PART? There's no school tomorrow!!! HEHEH :P SELAMAT HARI RAYA ^^

many many updates

Hey guys!!!! Feel like I haven't blogged in 2 million years omg. Haven't been updating this space lately due to mye oops. Oh and, warning: this post is pretty photo-heavy heheh.

Went to Nooks the other day! Originally planned for brunch at Carpenter's and Cook but it was full house and we were hungry so we just took a 2mins walk to this place. Great afternoon making pancakes and stuffing ourselves. I can't draw shit omg.

OOTD to Bugis the other day. Didn't really shop much and just went there for Buffett. Went back to je to support EDC's play at Jurong Green. Was really funny and engaging! After that we went for supper at Jem. Super long day that day omg. 

Chilli crab at this newly opened restaurent in my area. Pretty good. 

Koh's Grill and Bar. Fave place to go to when I'm in town hmm. 

Okay that's all for this post guys! Been watching this new variety show "Roomate" and "How I met your mother" lately, go watch it if you are looking for something nice to watch! Oh and I watched BLENDED today, I'd give it a 4.5/5 - touching, super hilarious and sweet, just the perfect genre for me. Thanks for reading you all sweethearts x luv
