PART TWO IS OUT!!!! YAY! I actually wanted to post this like during mid-week but I was too busy with the orientation stuff and all so I kinda procrastinated till now >< Figured that this post needs to come up soon bc I have severe STM soooo before I forget that I even went to Taiwan
(over-exaggerating), here goes:
Rise and Shine!! Day 3 in Taiwan hehe. Headed to 7-11 right below our hotel to get some melty eggs |
SO GOOD. TASTES SO GOOD. |
OOTD - This mirror (hotel lift) does wonders omg. It made me and everyone else look skinnier when we look into it. And then we called this the "fantasy"mirror , when the lift door opens, there's another mirror that is the normal kind which made us look like what we actually looked like and we called it "reality". |
Breakfast at one of the streets near our hotel. I shared mushroom noodles with Jayme and had warm milk tea with pearl hehe. The mushroom noodles looks meh but tastes surprisingly good! And the milk tea warmed me up in the cold morning mmmm. |
Train tracks at 十分 The driver told us that 那些年,我们一起追过的女孩 (You're the apple of my eye) was filmed here... woahhh. |
CHOO CHOO |
天灯 for me and the two cutie pies. The chinese characters means something like safety and happiness ^^ |
Postcards as souvenirs |
Malt lollipops and biscuits. LOVED the lollipop bc it wasn't too sweet! |
If you were wondering, here's how my dimple came about AHAHAHAHA |
Labyrinth the taiwanese style! Looked easy but it really wasn't >< |
Arrived at 淡水老街 and... sigh it was raining :( settled in this chinese food place for lunch! I'm guessing this shop was run by a family, and the old grandmother came up with a recipe - wrapping meatball in fishball. Tried it and yes it was yummy and unique! It was heart-warming reading the article on the wall while I ate, the grandma had been making these since she was in her mid-thirties till now :o |
One of Taiwan's delicacies - 卤肉饭 such a simple yet flavourful meal! |
The driver stopped at this place to let us take picture of this, idk what this place is called but the view sure was pretty though it was raining like there was no tomorrow -inserts crying emoji- |
mist mist mist |
I DONT KNOW WHAT I WAS THINKING WHEN I BOUGHT THIS, REALLY. It was still raining (for the entire day) and I actually ate this, like in the rain. Fingers were numbed after holding it for 5 minutes so I gave up eating HAHAHA |
Walked past a pet shop and saw thses three poodles sleeping close to each other, they must've felt cold too awwww :( |
Warm dessert - Soya Beancurd with peanut soup. Warmed up my tummy alright! |
Celebrating Aunty Sally's Birthday dinner at a Japanese Restaurant |
Seafood Salad |
山药 topped with Mentaiko |
mushroom and pork skewers |
Baby Corn |
Fried Chicken Bones |
Cake bought by our 2 drivers as a surprise for Aunty Sally! So nice of them omg!!! ^^ |
Our 2 drivers for the whole trip. Not only did they drive us everywhere, felt like they were also the Cameramen and Tourguide hahaah! |
Strawberry Sponge Cake! Sorry I took this picture ugly but it was like so nice, like how everything else in Taiwan was! |
Loots for the day hehe ^^ |
Supper again! This is so unhealthy but YOLO ok |
The driver posted this on FB and the caption was “記得當時年紀小。。。” |
Day 4! (Already :( ) Breakfast at hotel's breakfast bar |
Ate a slice of bread and drank a cup of tea here |
OOTD take by Jayme under our hotel |
Outside the temple |
Taoist Temple. Didn't really went in bc it was quite crowded inside and we had to take care of the two kiddos |
This street looks cowboy-ish? hahhaa |
Steamboat buffet for lunch! One of the best meal I had there. There were haagen-dasz and movenpick ice-cream and like the bacon and the scallops and all the atas-ish food was freeflow. The best part? This buffet was only like 16 SGD per pax |
BACON for the meat-loving me |
Fruits and Puddings |
Headed to Show Luo stage cafe after the buffet bc April is a HUGE FAN, when I say HUGE, I meant HUGEEEEEEE omg >< The waffles were really fluffy and I actually dipped my waffles in the chocolate ice-cream and it tastes oh-so-good |
Show's merchandise store |
How the room looks after we came back from shopping HAHAHAHHA |
Day 4 LOOOOOTS |
Okay, this is like some loyalty card thingy form 7-11 and in 3 days of staying in Taipei, we actually completed the stickers part (scary isn't it hahaha) got like 50sgd worth of melty eggs in total |
DAY FIVEEEE. Time to leave Taiwan :( the 依依不舍 feeling haizzzz. In the SKL lounge in Taipei Airport having breakfast before boarding. |
Last meal in Taiwan - Mushroom Pasta, chicken herbal soup ( Just realise that I always have a fusion of western and asian food when it comes to buffet xD ) oh, the packet of fruit juice was yummy! |
Baby Addison says HI |
Cashews and Almonds |
Watched Smurfs 2 and a few episodes of Modern Family on the plance ride back. |
Smoked tuna and marinated peppers with quinoa salad for starters. Not a fan of capsicum nor the salad so I just ate the lettuce and tuna |
Sous vide duck breast with calvados cream sauce. |
Passion fruit mascarpone mousse cake - a little to the sour side but nonetheless, I loved it ^^ |
Cheese and crackers, spot the papaya at the side hahaha. I actually ate so much >< |
Okay! So that's it for my Taiwan post! Hope y'all enjoyed it though my captions are kinda crappy! Stay tuned for the next post ( I have no idea when it'll come out xD ) And have a great week ahead! ♡
