Anti:Dote High Tea Review

Hi there lovely readers, it's me again!!!
Today I'll be doing a review on Anti:Dote (Fairmont Hotel)'s High Tea menu that I went for on Valentines, hope you guys enjoy this short post hehe.

Entrance of the restaurant
Interior, love warm and cosy lighting and seating. Was seated on a cosy sofa hehe.
Didn't take a picture of the tea but I opted for their Pink Flamingo one which tasted slightly fruity with a hint of floral taste??? It was good, and one jug per person was MORE than enough.
They had us choose between the Antidote tea set or Oriental tea set. The only difference between the two was the the latter came with dim sum like siew mai and bars while the antidote tea set come with truffle scrambled eggs. So of course we chose the former as it sounded more unique rather than having dim sum.
Truffle Scrambled Eggs!!! I love everything truffle, smells so delish. They gave us fried bread thingys to accompany the scrambled eggs and also give it a different texture (Crispy) but i thought the bread was tad too oily. The truffle scrambled egg tasted like mousse at the top and I was all like "where dem eggs at" and oh it was hidden at the bottom. Would rate this dish 3.5/5, not like dabombz amazing but interesting.
Here's the entire high tea set! Desserts, savouries, scones & condiments!

Top tier: Desserts. I really love the strawberry swiss roll omg, it tasted as good as it looks, so moist & nice!!!! And the cherry jelly too, tasted so much like a cherry but in a gelatin form. The rest of the pastries were good too, just that it wasn't exceptionally good.
Savouries!!! I actually prefer savoury > sweet! LOVE the quiche??? Everything was yummy!
Scones. Not exactly a fan of scones as they're too dry, only ate one of them (the ginger one) and the skin tasted bit like mooncake skin HAHA I'm not sure.
Condiments! Love the lemon curd and homemade jam, not too sure about the cream cheese tho, quit tasteless and...meh.
Oh, and they gave us butter cookies too!
Attempted a wink, I can't wink with my right eye omg :(

Thanks for reading guys!!! Do enjoy the rest of CNY and February <3

First Post This Year!!

Hi lovelies!!!!
So excited bc it's my first post this year, consisting of pictures which I've compiled in January 2016. A fresh new year, a fresh new start, hope this year would be a great one for everyone out there!

Selfie from a really weird angle to start this post off. (In case y'all miss my face wahahahaha)
TOSS & TURN!!!!!! I loved their salad portions and I feel like I always order almost the same items!!! Their noodles is really nice, texture and shape a bit like ban mian but the western version and their omelette is packed with soon many ingredients! Oh, not forgetting their homey soups that always warms my soul hehe.
Spent the first day of the year at Uncle Vincent's place! So nice meeting and catching up with the fam.
Visited the NUS Museum for one of our modules, the artwork was really pretty but bummed that Sarah didn't go :(
She's grown so big already!!! I'd see her every weekend and she'd look different, with extra folds on her arms and legs hehe #michelinbaby now she smiles when we talk to her and it's so crazy cute!!! Here's a pic of her doing tummy time hehe.
First Visit to Ice Edge cafe in Kovan. LOVE their truffle fries and thin crust pizzas! Had the bacon and ham aglio olio and it didn't disappoint with the generous amount of ham!!! Its quite crowded in the weekends so remember to make reservations if you wanna visit.
Had their waffle and chose the salted egg yolk ice cream bc I went to the counter and try and it was so good!!! Tasted a bit like custard with the salted egg yolk texture in it, was expecting it to be salty but it just has a slight hint of saltiness, soon good. There have other quirky flavours of gelato like gummy bears, mao shan wang, pulut hitam, and even lychee martini. Would love to get the pullout hitam one the next time round.
Steamboat at Siying's have become a yearly affair HAHA. Went for her 18th birthday party! (You're old already Siying :P)
So nice catching up with this bunch of people despite everyone's busy schedules!! Missed every single one of them :( and miss attending the same school too. Crazy how we used to see each other everyday and took it for granted, lets meet up more often guys!!!!!!! <3
Is it yoga time with Chan
Side note: Super bummed that real yoga's branch in YoHa closed and now I have to travel all the way to Jurong Safra for my yoga classes and its so inaccessible omg #sighpie :'(

Not a vegetarian/vegan but I loved Greendot! For their relatively affordable and healthy meals.
Would you just look at this cutie right here :* and her folds!!!!
Thats all for this post!!! Look forward to more updates next month hehe, thank you for spending time to read my posts and wishing everyone a happy and prosperous lunar new year
新年快乐,万事如意!

Angela's Full Month Party

Hi everyone!!!
As you guys might have already known, my mum recently gave birth to an adorable baby sister, she's called Angela hehe.
Today's post will be about her full month party this afternoon, which we co-ordinated about a month ago with the event company Assemble Happinest :)
We engaged them bc I showed my mum Qiu Qiu's blog about Meredith first month party so she really loved the concept and wanted something similar! And the event planners were really good with all the styling of dessert tables and really getting what we wanted.

23.10.15 The day that my mum gave birth I rushed to the hospital as soon as my classes ended to see this sweet lil angel, worth it.
So excited bc she's my first ever sister omg??? And I can't wait to buy her hairbands and clothes and omg so many more things.

Whatcha lookin' at
With my beautiful momma after we finished doing our makeup hehe. Congrats on her end of confinement too wakakaka you can now eat whatever you want :P
Not forgetting the brudder ofc (; Didn't get to take a proper pic with the older one tho :(
Beautiful in white?

We've selected Whisk & Paddle as our venue as it's pretty near mum's place and size of the place was good. Fortunately we chose the indoor area instead of the alfresco as it rained outside, though the alfresco place seemed really pretty as well.
Dessert table, also photos area haha. Requested for Angel theme with 20% pink 20% gold and 60% white. Look how pretty it turned out!!! I loved every single detail and effort made towards the dessert table.

Erm...... did someone say freeflow macaroons??? *hearts emoji*
Yes, indeed.

Even the plastic forks have gold ribbons.
Loving the baby's breath and roses

Her resting area, really similar to Meredith's one and really suits the angel theme ;)

Oh, and we also hired a photographer to take photos and print out on the spot. The photos came out lovely due to the lighting and of course the pretty dessert table!

That's all for this post.. thanks for reading & goodnight sweeties :*

Skincare Routine

Hi guyssss!!! Have you all missed me? HAHAHA :P
Today's post is on my daily skincare routine. I'll be sharing the products that i've been using daily with you girls hehe.

For those who don't really do a skincare routine apart from cleansing your face with a cleanser, you should start like RIGHT NOW. Because skincare is v v v important (even for guys imo) in your teens. I started doing skincare quite late tho, like 15y/o???

Back then, I just thought rinsing my face with water during showers were good enough and never really understood or felt the need to develop these habits. A lot of people think that skincare should start when you're older but always always remember, #preventionisbetterthancure. Don't only start when you notice bad breakouts/fine lines forming on your face bc ITS TOO LATE.

Okay I've talked too much hahaha, let's begin!!!

(PS. sorry for the terrible quality of the photos, my phone camera's cui omg.)

Overview of the products.

1. Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser
I love this product mainly because it doesn't give that tight and clean feeling after I wash my face bc i've used a lot of facial cleansers that does and I feel those cleansers dries out my skin :(
I really recommend this as it contains natural essential oils such as Rosehip, Chamomile and Macadamia which is moisturising and nourishing *-* OH THE BEST PART??? It's sulfate and paraben-free, highly recommended for sensitive skin too!
It retails at around $11 at Watsons/Guardian and one bottle lasts me about 2-3months!

2. Garnier Aqua Defense Sensitive Refreshing Toner (The name so long hahahahaha)
I use this after my cleanser! I would pour some on my palm and just pat my face to let it absorb! Lots of people put the toner on a cotton pad and pat it on the face instead but I feel like its a waste of resources????? Because like the cotton pad would absorb the toner and its REDUNDANT. Okay back to the product. My skin feels smooth and supple after using it and I find that it's really value for money!!!
Retails at Guardian, Watsons, CK, Venus (and every other stores that sells affordable skincare) price around $6-7 lasts around 3 months??
3. Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 (Optional unless you have really chapped lips)
Got this as a birthday gift like 2 years ago hahahaha. I think I've reviewed this in one of my older posts!! It's basically an oil-based lip balm that helps chapped lips! Kinda pricey ($17-ish) imo, so for an alternative, you can get Nivea/Lipice from Watsons!
4. IOPE Tone & Wrinkle Care Eye Cream
I have some pre-mature wrinkles at the side of my eyes and my eye are is really dry so I'd use this after toner hehe. It's pretty moisturising and value for $$ because it's a really large tube! I've been using it for like half a year now and it haven't finish omg.
Got it at $11.9 on Qoo10 (bc Singapore don't carry IOPE products in physical stores :(((( )
5. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream
Yes, use this after toner! Think I've mentioned this in my older post as well.  Its just a really good moisturiser from Kiehls and worked wonders for my ezcematic (ya i created the word) and sensitive skin.
6. Clarins Ecran Multi-Protection
Sunscreen!!! Always use sunscreen, even when you're indoors because the UV rays can get indoors and harm your skin as well, don't think that because got no sun above your head means no UV rays okay!!! THEY ARE EVERYWHERE MUAHAHA (cue devil emoji) So this is like the last step of the skin care, just put some on the back of your palm and apply on your face evenly (less you want tan lines). Your skin will actually look older if you're exposed in the sun frequently without sun protection so don't risk that!!!!!!
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP OKAY OKAY OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mumsie got me this at Robinsons (i think) for like $60++ but its really good bc non-greasy and no white patches! For cheaper alternative, check out the Biore/Faceshop/Missha ones ^^
7. Bio-Essence Miracle Bio Water (This is really optional btw!!!)
Reminds me of sec school days where siying brings this to class and we just spam it on our faces after PE lessons :DDDDDDD
If you're wondering why this don't have the cap on is because the cap quality SUCKS. This is already the second cap that broke out of two caps >:(
So I usually bring the travel version out in my bag (to school or long day out) to feel refreshed and kinda cool down my skin.
Ending this post off with the cakes I had at Lady M(ichelle) <3 I love their crepes so much. K and I have so much fun tearing and counting the layers.

BYE SWEETHEARTS :* hope you guys enjoyed this post and it helped!
